Freedom Surf Shop is Virginia Beach's finest surf shop and home to East Coast Surfing Hall of Famer Pete Smith, who helped start Virginia Beach's first core Surf Shop Smith and Holland in the early 1960's. More than just a retail outlet, Freedom Surf is the 'Soul of Surfing', the shop gives all that walk through its doors a unique vision of surfing's past, present and future. On the showroom floor you will find over 150 surf boards for sale, at any time, from over 12 legendary boardmakers (some of which were carried in Pete Smith's shop so many years ago).
